 PROGRAMS:  MATERNAL-INFANT
Maternal-Infant

The Maternal-Infant program provides specialized nursing visits for high risk ante-partum care, early maternal and infant discharge and mother and infants with identified risks and complications post-partum.

Infant

Our experienced registered nurses perform a comprehensive assessment which includes weighing the infant as well as a feeding and safety assessment.

We also provide education to the parents on topics such as:

  • Normal newborn care
  • Hyperbilirubinemia (jaundice)
  • Care of the premature infant
  • Breast or bottle feeding education
  • Care of the infant with neonatal abstinence syndrome (drug/alcohol exposed infant)
Maternal Care

For women with high risk pregnancy we provide comprehensive assessment and education regarding diabetes, hyper-emesis, hypertension and pre-eclampsia to name a few. We also provide infusion therapy such as intravenous antibiotics and hydration.

After childbirth our experienced registered nurses provide care for and teaching of Caesarian section wounds, high risk follow up, and post-partum depression.

The Maternal-Infant program is not offered at all locations.
